Pratyusha’s Parents Staying Put In Mumbai To Get Justice
More than 5 months after Pratyusha Banerjee was found hanging from her Goregaon flat, her parents Soma and Shankar are still grappling for answers. But they are not ready to quit, yet.

While talking to SpotboyE.com, Soma said: “We are staying in Mumbai for the time being. The next date of hearing is November 29 and we have our hopes pinned on it. We had expected things to move faster, but in vain. However, we are sure about fighting till the end. We have lost our child, we’ll do everything to get her justice.”

Soma and Shankar have been fighting a legal battle against Pratyusha’s boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh. The actress, they allege, were mentally, physically and financially abused by him.  A month after the Balika Vadhu actress’ death, they even went to meet Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh.  The couple wants the case to be handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), a request that’s yet to be granted (Pratyusha's parents meet the Home Minister, want the case transferred to the CBI, May 10).

Pratyusha’s parents have always maintained that their daughter was too strong a person to commit suicide and have openly accused Rahul of murdering her (Pratyusha's mom suspects that Rahul Raj Singh and Saloni Sharma are responsible for her daughter's murder, May 12).

In July, the Mumbai Police filed a chargesheet against Rahul, who is currently out on bail. He has been charged with abetment of suicide, assault and criminal intimidation.
